Balanced by construction, permanent by design.
An entry that does not balance is refused by the database, not by the application. A wrong entry is reversed by a new one that references it, and the original stays where it was.
Debits equal credits, or nothing posts
The database refuses an unbalanced entry and states the difference it found.
